Toshiba joins Liverpool City Council supplier framework

November 12, 2020

Toshiba Tec has recently won a bid for the supply and service multi-function print devices for schools in the Merseyside area. As part of the Liverpool City Council (LCC) framework, Toshiba Tec will be delivering multi-function and desktop print devices along with maintenance and support contracts, as well as offering advice and administrative assistance where required.

Despite having to balance high printing outputs with tight budgets, schools have to maintain quality levels throughout. Reducing paper and toner waste is therefore essential for containing costs, and educational institutions opting for a Toshiba Tec solution will find this easy to achieve, as well as enjoying quality results and responsive service and support.

As a leading print specialist, Toshiba Tec already has a framework agreement with Birmingham schools and local authorities, so its new agreement in Merseyside will complement existing projects.

Having worked alongside schools and academies in the UK for many years, we are ideally positioned to understand their needs for print and document management services. Our aim is to create a better student and teacher experience that is underpinned by our excellent service level, great backup, expert customer support capabilities and, of course, our intelligent cost saving solutions Liz Kingsland, National Framework Account Manager at Toshiba Tec

Toshiba Tec has proposed a range of A4 and A3 printers and multifunction devices that would meet all print, copy, scan and document management needs. These new systems streamline print activities, reduce the burdens on the IT and administrative teams and optimise the overall print environment.

In addition, the market-leading print management software, PaperCut, complements Toshiba devices – it allows users to easily manage their print assets and encourages responsible behaviour whilst being accountable for their print usage. It is ideal for secondary schools with five or more devices and intensive usage requirements. The software collects usage data by location and device, and acts as a tool for identifying inefficiencies and implementing cost recovery strategies.

The multifunction devices offered by Toshiba Tec can be linked with iCloud and Google Apps for increased flexibility. They also offer secure mobile printing functionality which enables users to send documents to print from any computer or mobile phone and release the print outs from their nearest device. In terms of service, schools choosing the Toshiba solution benefit from their own dedicated account management team and helpdesk, with a freephone number for all support calls, backed by a team of highly skilled support technicians.
