Toshiba partners with Kodak Alaris to offer award-winning document management solutions

January 27, 2017

Toshiba has announced a landmark partnership with Kodak Alaris Information Management (IM) that will accelerate the ability of businesses to address diverse workflow needs. Partnering with Kodak Alaris is the latest move in Toshiba's strategy to offer its customers cutting edge and flexible document capture and management solutions that help streamline business processes and enable them to effectively deal with the increasing amount of data that is being generated.

Kodak Alaris is an established global market leader in the provision of scanners and information management technology, as well as business process automation and workflow software. This technology set is becoming increasingly vital as, according to AIIM Market Intelligence, 80-90 per cent of an enterprise’s data is poorly organised, if at all.

This makes document management chaotic and unless systems are put in place to deal with it, the situation will only get worse. Now, in partnership with Kodak Alaris, Toshiba offers a comprehensive suite of capture and information management solutions, which are all designed to integrate incoming documents and data with existing systems and processes and prevent the inefficient flow of paper, reducing per case cost and increasing the level of automation and productivity.

Toshiba and Kodak Alaris have identified a number of operational areas that can enjoy immediate benefits including mailrooms, forms processing and accounts payable. Seamlessly automated workflows to rapidly manage data and give employees more time to focus on core job functions, while time critical documents can be processed accurately and accessed without delay. Digital records management offers many advantages over paper solutions, not the least of which is the ability to synchronise information, increase security and quickly access critical documents.

Kodak Alaris has received the most awards out of any scanner manufacturer tested by Buyers Lab, LLC’s (BLI). The company scooped the "2016 Scanner Line of the Year” award for the superior performance of its broad portfolio of products, won a 2017 BLI Winter Pick Award for its Info Input Solution 4.0 and was also honoured with a pair of 2016 Summer Pick Awards.

As part of the complete solution Toshiba can provide Kodak Alaris scanners for specific business applications, provide automation software to automate processes and adopt and service legacy scanners to provide a single point of contact and remove burden from customer resources.

“We are delighted to partner with Toshiba to offer our portfolio of proven information management solutions,” said Becky Hunt, Account Director, Kodak Alaris Information Management. “Our comprehensive offer that includes standalone wireless and networked desktop devices, through to high-volume production scanners, software, service and support, complement Toshiba’s industry-leading multifunctional devices. These best-in-class technology solutions will provide organisations with the capabilities they need to transform data into a powerful competitive advantage.”
