European Solutions Architect

Location: Leeds

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions are enhancing a significant digital transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join the European Portfolio team in a key leadership role at the heart of this transformation. Working with the world’s leading provider of retail software solutions, you'll be playing a pivotal role in shaping and delivering retail and cloud strategy for retailers throughout Europe.

The objective of the role is to increase the effectiveness of their customer engagement through the use of their digital platforms. You'll need to be an experienced Solutions Architect with the ability to inform, develop and mentor other Solutions Architects. You'll be accountable for creating end-to-end solution design across large programmes (or groups of programmes) and you will support, enhance and promote the process and delivery of architecture across the organisation.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Working with multi-functional teams, as well as customer resources, to propose solutions that deliver the desired objectives for approaching a problem statement in a given landscape
  • Managing engagement between stakeholders and technical colleagues to gather a thorough understanding of requirements and articulate the impact of any proposed change on the technical landscape.
  • Supporting the creation of solutions that deliver the desired objectives, ensuring the agreed standards relating to availability, security, resilience and performance are met.
  • Presenting technical concepts and IT solution strategies to stakeholders, enabling informed decisions to be made.
  • Providing architectural guidance and leadership to team members, through coaching and mentorship.
  • Planning and coordinating with stakeholders and colleagues to ensure appropriate architectural support is available to meet delivery timelines.
  • Support sales from identifying solution, through proposal and sales meetings with customers
  • Providing architecture input and diagrams into sales collateral, preparing and delivering presentations to customers
  • Attend meetings with customers as a consultant, engage with customer architects
  • Providing analysis of solutions, options and benefits as part of defining technical roadmap, assessing solutions and partner solutions

European Software Product Manager

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions are enhancing a significant digital transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join the European Portfolio team in a key leadership role at the heart of this transformation. Working with the world’s leading provider of retail solutions, you'll be playing a pivotal role in shaping and delivering retail commerce strategy for retailers throughout Europe.

The objective of the role is to increase the effectiveness of their customer engagement through the use of their solutions. You will need to be an experienced Product Manager with the ability to inform, develop and mentor others. You will be accountable for the products P&L, solution vision & strategy, cross-functional leadership within TGCS to drive results as well as be part and own its delivery.

Will deliver results through your knowledge of the retail industry, our strategy, and the competitive global landscape. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full P&L ownership for their solution area
  • Solution strategy including key levers to positively achieve results; synchronise solution strategy with broader TGCS SW, HW, and overall business strategy
  • Coordinate across functional areas to achieve overall business results, including marketing, sales, services, maintenance, and finance
  • Engage with development and services managers to drive solution roadmaps, providing business requirements in terms of functionality, costs, and solution interdependencies
  • Manage and track progress against financial targets, including continuous risk assessment and mitigation
  • Develop value propositions, messaging frameworks, and statements of direction
  • Effective presentation (internal and client-facing) of retail market trends; Toshiba’s unique retail industry perspective, value proposition, and brand; retail solution capabilities, differentiation, and scenarios
  • Drive competitive analysis and compete strategies against established players and new threats
  • Develop solution go-to-market plans including opportunity analysis, pipeline analysis, market segmentation, channel readiness (where applicable) requirements, and outbound marketing requirements
  • Develop solution pricing/licensing approach and map against customer requirements with an understanding of competitive/other factors impacting deal closure
  • Collaborate with various internal clients and departments on solution fit, features, go-to-market strategy, positioning, etc., to ensure end-user customers & company requirements are represented with a broad perspective and likelihood of field success
  • Support executive briefings and provide direct client-facing sales support for high-impact opportunities
  • Support execution of strategic partnerships, customer engagements, and drive new business growth

Technical Support Consultant

Location: Chertsey, Surrey / Home-based

We have a Technical Support Consultant vacancy for someone to join our TERIS Retail Service division. This person will be responsible for performing technical support on the telephone, on-site and formal training to customers, engineers and dealers.

It is essential to have experience in epos support, retail support, technical analysis and store system support, with basic programming ability and previous helpdesk experience.  

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service ethic. This role would suit an individual who is a flexible team player, able to support others whenever necessary

Engagement Manager

Location: London

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Self-Service Solutions Engagement Manager to join our European Self-Service Team within TGCS UK. This role would be based in London, however, other locations can be considered. You will be the technical subject matter expert for Toshiba Self-Service Solutions, supporting internal and external customers through the solution lifecycle from pre-sales activities and solution design to system deployment and solution training and ongoing support and sales consultancy.

You will have experience within the retail industry, specifically within store operations and ideally have self-checkout software and point of sale software experience. You will be a highly proficient communicator with experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Project, engaging, with customer facing experience and strong relationship building skills. We seek energetic and skilled resources to work in a dynamic, collaborative and ever-changing environment. Given the customer-facing nature of this role, up to 50% travel within Europe is expected.
